30 Days of Witchcraft ~ 30-Day Challenge ~ Day 8 Egg Cleansing

Today is Day 8 of my 30 Days of Witchcraft "Write Your Craft" Challenge. I hope to see more people picking up the mantle and writing along!

Today is about egg cleansing. This is an ancient ritual we can do for ourselves or someone else. The process is simple. The interpretation takes a while to learn.

So let's lay this out like I would any spell work..

Egg Cleansing Ritual

Needed:

• 1 room temperature raw egg
• 2 glasses of  room temperature water
• 1 tsp salt
• 1tsp lemon juice

Paces:

• If you want to open a circle, this is when to do it.
• In the first glass of water, stir in the salt and lemon juice; then gently wash the egg in it.
• Tell the egg what you want it to do. "I want you to rid me of bad energy/hex/curse/bad luck, etc." Be as specific as you can.
• Holding the egg in your right hand , roll the egg all over your body.
• Start at the top and work down.
• Don't forget your head and arms and as much of your back as you can reach. 
• Note: If the egg cracks you have to start over. Be gentle!
• It doesn't have to touch your skin, but you can certainly do this in a bikini, undergarments, or skyclad if you wish. 
• Imagine the egg absorbing all the negative energy as you do this. 
• Crack the egg into the clean room temperature glass of water and let it sit 5-10 minutes undisturbed.
• Note: Do not look into the glass from above; you could reabsorb the bad energy
• Some interpretations say to toss a pinch of salt on top the egg. This is your shoice.

Interpretation:

• You are looking at 3 things:
• shape of the yolk
• shape of the egg whites
• color of the water
• Here are interpretations I have gathered:
• water is clear, there are no shapes, scents, or blood
• there is nothing unnatural happening around you; you are safe.
• water smells bad or you see blood
• There is evil or
• magic has been used against you
• or you have an illness or disease you are unaware of
• water has small specks of blood
• bad luck was gathered
• may be caused by witchcraft
• water is cloudy
• sign of loss of the soul or
• loss of energy
• water has small bubbles
• sign that your guardian spirits absorbed the negative energy
• at the top, consider it being done by a higher power
• at the bottom, consider it being done ancestrally 
• egg yolk is face shaped
• there is an enemy
• slender face is male
• rounder face is female
• egg yolk is eye shaped
• an evil eye has been attached to you
• while you carrying an evil eye can prevent evil looking upon you, being cursed by one is bad luck
• you have cleansed it
• egg whites look like cobwebs
• someone is jealous of you and wants you to fail or
• you are tangled up in a complicated situation or
• something is trapping you in a situation
• Egg whites have needles or spiky looking appearance
• there may be people around you with bad intentions; sucking away your positive energy
• Look for shapes, symbols, and initials

Removal of the egg

• Do not consume the egg, regardless of the outcome. 
• Throw it away or run it down the toilet. 
• If it is interpreted as a curse, I have seen it used as a Turn Back Spell.
• ingredients are added to return the curse on the giver
• these are almost always flushed in the toilet, to add to the symbolism
