We're slowly reaching the end of this month! For day 28 of our 30 Days of witchcraft "Write Your Craft" challenge, we're discussing the Gaelic festival of Beltane, or as you may know it, May Day.
May Day is celebrated May 1, yearly. In 2023, it will be a Monday. It is the relative mid-point between the spring equinox of Ostara and the summer solstice of Litha. Beltane, May Day is celebrated with the May Pole dance, symbolizing the spiral of life and the union of the Sun God and Earth Goddess. Bonfires are prevalent, as are phallic and yoni symbolism.
