30 Days of Divination ~ Day 2: Acultomancy

Welcome to our brand new "Write Your Craft" 30-Day Challenge! This month it's all about divination, what it is, and 28 different ways to use it! Today we will discuss:

What is Acultomancy?

Acultomancy is a very rare form of divination using needles.

It dates back to old Romani tribes reading querents, using needles as their pointers. Using 7-21 needles, including bent ones for some readings, and a shallow bowl of water or a flat surface coated with powder, ash, or flour - the needles are dropped and patterns are looked for.

How is Acultomancy done?

Once dropped, readers look for patterns in the needles, kind of like reading the bones. The main designs looked for are lines. The lines may be broken, parallel, vertical, or horizontal. The needles may make clear shapes as well.

Broken lines may mean heading on a new journey or travel. Parallel generally discusses the future of one's money - given or taken. Vertical lines may guide you on the correct path, while horizontal lines may discuss your fate. Some may add different lengths of string to aid in connecting paths when dropped.

Some acultomancers also mark their pins with symbols and letters and draw from a type of quiver to divine. These symbols are then the reading is taken based on the order they are drawn.

Can I do Acultomancy today?

There is no reason you can't! Like all forms of divination, you much believe in your higher power and give it a shot if it interests you to see if it is something that works for you.
